18+ Trans & Non-Binary Support Group
Welcome to our monthly inclusive and affirming space designed for individuals aged 18 and above who identify as transgender, non-binary gender nonconforming. Our support group is a safe space where members can come together to share experiences, struggles, triumphs, and resources in a supportive environment. We aim to foster a sense of belonging and empowerment while promoting education, advocacy, and self-care.
Meeting Format: Our meetings typically consist of facilitated discussions, educational workshops, and group activities. Members are encouraged to participate at their own comfort level, whether they wish to actively engage in discussions or simply listen and absorb support.
Topics of Discussion: Our group covers a wide range of topics relevant to the transgender and non-binary experience, including but not limited to:
Gender identity exploration
Coming out experiences
Social, legal, and medical transitioning
Mental health and self-care
Confidentiality: We prioritize confidentiality and respect within our group. What is shared within meetings stays within meetings, fostering a trusting environment where members can freely express themselves without fear of judgment or disclosure.
Accessibility: We strive to make our group accessible to all individuals regardless of their background, identity, or abilities. We welcome feedback and suggestions for improving accessibility to ensure that everyone feels welcome and included.
Guiding Principles: Our support group is guided by principles of respect, empathy, inclusivity, and empowerment. We believe in uplifting each other and creating a space where everyone's voice is heard and valued.

Join us as we celebrate our community. This year’s theme, We Bloomed Anyway, honors every queer and trans person person who has grown, thrived, and found joy despite the horrors of 2025.
Enjoy a weekend filled with vibrant performances, local artists, community vendors, food, music, dancing, and the unmistakable magic of SOFLX Pride. Come celebrate how far we’ve come and all the ways we continue to bloom, together.

QUEER LEARNING SERIES WITH MASHA RASKOLNIKOV
Join our Queer after work series! Our second speaker Masha will take us through - "Surviving the Present By Imagining the Future: Joyful Queer Sci-Fi and Fantasy Worlds"
Masha is an Associate Professor of English at Cornell University and a lifelong queer geek of the bookworm variety. She specializes in queer and trans literature across a wide range of historical periods, and lately has been teaching classes on reading science fiction and fantasy as a labor of hope and resilience. She also teaches classes on how to regain a lost love of reading, and this talk draws from her work on reading as a way of life.
